This is a vintage hand knitted sweater dating to the 1960s.  The sweater is made in a cardigan style and does up with six fish shaped buttons down the front (please view the close-up of one of the buttons).  The sweater is knit with a chevron stitch pattern in vertical bands with open stitching between bands.  The bottom of the sweater is scalloped.  i believe that it is made of 100% wool in a rust brown colour. 

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking stretch into account:

Shoulders:  18 1/2” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  25” long, from the shoulder/sleeve seam 

Sleeve Inseam: 16”

Bust: 44” around, taken under the arms, unstretched

Bottom: 44” around, unstretched

Overall length: 22", measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition, looks like it saw little use - very clean with no pronounced wear.
